Action Flow Usage & Billing
Action Flows are available on all Sonikit plans. Features and capabilities depend on which plan you are on and are included in your normal billing cycle. Some steps and actions within Action Flows do use messaging credits so it's important to monitor and build the steps into your automations intentionally.
What Uses Credits?
Messaging Steps That Use Credits
These are the primary billable actions:
Send a text → uses SMS credits
Send an email → uses email credits
How Credits Are Calculated
Credits are used per action, per fan. Credits depend on the recipient's country of origin and the content of the message. Longer messages will use up more credits and users in different countries will use credits based on that country's carrier definitions.
Example:
1 Action Flow triggered by 100 fans
Includes 1 “Send a text” step
→ ~ 100 SMS credits used

Important: Automations Can Scale Quickly
Because Action Flows run automatically:
A single flow can trigger hundreds or thousands of times
Messaging steps will scale with your audience
Best Practices to Manage Usage
Use messaging steps intentionally
Combine segmentation with messaging to target the right fans
Monitor usage during large campaigns or releases
How to Monitor Usage
Sonikit will send an email notification automatically when you've reached your messaging limit. Your messages will continue to send uninterupted, but you will be billed for each additional message. You can track your messaging usage in:
