Troubleshooting Instagram Connection Issues
If you're having trouble connecting Instagram to Sonikit, the issue is usually related to account permissions or Meta account configuration.
My Instagram Profile Doesn't Appear During Connection
If your Instagram profile isn't shown during the connection process:
Check Your Account Type
Your Instagram account must be configured as a Business account.
Personal Instagram accounts are not supported.
Verify Facebook Page Connection
Your Instagram profile must be connected to a Facebook Page.
If the profile isn't connected to a Page, Meta may not make it available during authentication.
Verify Your Permissions
Make sure you're signed into the Meta account that has administrative access to both:
The Facebook Page
The Instagram profile
I Connected the Wrong Account
If you connected the wrong Instagram profile:
Open Messaging in Sonikit.
Locate your Instagram Messaging Channel.
Click Delete.
Repeat the connection process and select the correct account.
Multiple Profiles Were Selected During Login
Meta allows multiple Pages and Instagram profiles to be selected during authentication.
Sonikit supports one Instagram profile per project.
If multiple profiles are available after authentication, simply select the profile you want to use with the project.
The Connection Completed But No Instagram Channel Appears
If authentication completed successfully but no Instagram channel appears:
Refresh the page.
Verify that you completed all authentication steps.
Try reconnecting the account.
Confirm that the selected Instagram profile meets all account requirements.
