Switching or Updating Your 2FA Method

Switching Methods

To switch from SMS to an authenticator app (or vice versa):

1. Go to Account Settings → Security

2. Select Manage Two-Factor Authentication

3. Choose a new primary method

4. Verify the new method

Updating Your Phone Number

If using SMS:

• Update your phone number in Security settings

• Verify the new number before it becomes active

Regenerating Recovery Codes

You can generate new recovery codes at any time.
⚠️ Old codes will be invalidated.

Temporarily Disabling 2FA

If allowed, disabling 2FA requires:

• Your password

• A valid 2FA code or recovery code
