Using SMS Verification for Two-Factor Authentication

How SMS 2FA Works

  1. Select SMS as your 2FA method

  2. Enter your phone number

  3. Sonikit sends a verification code via text message

  4. Enter the code to complete sign-in

When SMS Codes Are Sent

  • During login

  • When verifying sensitive account actions

  • When switching devices

If You Don’t Receive a Code

  • Wait up to 60 seconds

  • Check your signal and spam filters

  • Request a resend

  • Confirm your phone number is correct

Security Considerations

SMS verification:

  • Depends on carrier delivery

  • Can be delayed

  • Is vulnerable to SIM-swap attacks

👉 For maximum security, we recommend using an authenticator app.

Switching Later

You can switch from SMS to an authenticator app at any time in Account Settings → Profile → Security.
